TEKOHA BY VIVIAN GUYRÁ

LETTING THE LIGHT IN BY DANCELAB COLLECTIVE
Tense, intense, tender, gentle, hopeful - the piece explores the notion of 'resilience'. How do we cope with difficult, emotional and traumatic life experiences, including bereavement? What lifts us back into the light? Where are the cracks that let in glimmers of hope? What enables us to find our way through sorrow and extreme stress enough to keep on going? The performers draw on echoes and fragments of personal narratives in their search for transformation, from being literally 'floored' to somehow finding those glimmers of hope, humour, release, and even joy again: letting the light in.

SOLEDAD BY MARIASOLE MONTACCI
Soledad is an experimental solo performance blending contemporary dance and live music. It explores the feeling of isolation that comes from difficulties in expressing or understanding spoken language. By analysing gestures, postures, facial expressions, and bodily movements, the performance highlights how non-verbal communication can bridge gaps where words prove insufficient. Using a new method inspired by two existing movement notation systems, the choreographer has created a performance that reflects on the power of the body to communicate. Through movement, Soledad invites audiences to consider how we can connect beyond words, emphasising the significance of bodily expression.

ADAM BY HARRY THEADORA FOSTER
Adam is a solo about memory, trickery, and how we come to form an identity. In a clearing, the shape of one body appears. In this unfamiliar space, a body learns he’s alive; a child learns his favourite dance; an adult learns who else he might have been. A journey of discovery culminates in the conversation between these beings across one body. Could they all be a part of the same history?
Harry Foster is keen to dive further into unlearning who he is. With a body textured and shaped by dance, in Adam he uses the tools of movement to illustrate just how plastic we are. He believes our past selves hold the power to soothe us, hold us, and help us reimagine who we are now.

OMBRA MAI FU BY SALVATORE DE SIMONE
Ombra mai fu is a visually evocative dance piece that follows an introspective journey from darkness into light. Through abstract allegories referencing Aeschylus Oresteia's tragedy, the choreography explores the human struggle to break free from the illusions and projections that cloud the mind. Shadows symbolize the unconscious, instinctive forces that alienate the self, while the interplay of light becomes a metaphor for awareness and transformation. Over the course of the performance, the shadows evolve into independent entities, culminating in a surreal and poetic "danse macabre" where they dissolve, leaving space for clarity and renewal.

TYRANNY OF THE KING EDWARDS BY CHEVON EDWARDS

EMPTY BUT SOLID BY SHIYU LU AND HAONAN MA
"From throat to heart; From quarrel to silence; From indifferent desires to warm hearts. Who is it that watches people under the roof?"
The work gives insight into the shackles of formalism within an East Asian family where the intimate relationships are woven into one big net, and every member who tries to change is controlled, criticized, and doubted by the invisible threads. And all the emotions will eventually dissolve into silence and be digested by a complex love.
You will witness the struggle, and pain but also the warmth of emotion, this pain is not licentious, it will eventually disappear because of blood and love.

NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING BY AISHA NAAMANI
From a fraught relationship with an enticing chair, to an impromptu birthday party with a nostalgic edge, No Idea What I’m Doing is an ode to the dawning realities of adulthood that emerge in our late 20s and the frisson that comes along with it. Characterised through a dynamic and coalescent solo, the movement spans from vigorous floor work to tap dancing, the atmosphere carved through spoken word, Electronic Music, and a Welsh Choral Hymn. The piece encapsulates the ambivalence of pretending that we know what we are doing, all while having absolutely no idea what is going on.

VITRUVIAN MAN BY LUCY TURNER
Making its striking debut at Resolution Festival, Lucy Turner’s Vitruvian Man, based on Leonardo Da Vinci’s drawing of the same name, explores the illusion of idealistic human proportions. With an eclectic original score by Anil Kahvecioglu, the hypnotic sequencing of music and movement invites the brain to voyage through the history of fine art along with the bodies on stage. The duo intertwine, thread and paint shapes between them - celebrating the individuality within the architecture of the human body. Asking with eyes closed: ‘if I could dissect my identities apart, wouldn’t I be able to separate geometry from art?’

Can we find certain routines in a series of changes? In this new work, Hong Kong independent choreographer Blue Ka Wing substitutes different variables of 'music' and 'dance' into her distinctive choreographer’s performing formula, exploring boundaries of performance and discovering changes and surprises in repetitions.

UNTIL THE REAL THING BY LILY KIND
Until the Real Thing is about the slide between sincerity and bullshit – how does what we absorb become what we offer? – and how a little absurdity, a little re-phrasing, can be both playful and protective. Until the Real Thing is created and performed by choreographer Lily Kind in collaboration with dancers Hana Carlson, Christine “Tine Machine” Gatchalian, and Lakshmi Iyengar. Like much of Kind's work, it is arranged as vaudevillian dance theater, overlapping postmodern self-awareness with musical tenderness through Black American Popular dance forms including Waacking/Punking and Vernacular Jazz. This is Kind’s London debut.
