Olu Alatise

Olu is the artistic director of Afroqueens Dance Company, co-founder/organiser of Afro Dance Blast yearly showcase and Afro & More battles.

With over 20 years of experience in the dance industry, Olu is one of the leading pioneers of African (Afro) dance in the UK and has a robust track record working with artists/brands such as Queens platinum jubilee, Capital xtra summertime ball, Jax Jones, SteffLondon, Rihanna, Drake, Popcaan, Mr Eazi, Jason Derulo, Olympics, Sports direct x Adidas, Puma X ASOS, Nike, Wagamama, and more.

Olu’s work has been featured in GDIF (Greenwich and Docklands International Festival), Sadler's Wells and several international platforms and has debut her new full length dance production titled ‘Journal of 7’

Olu's passion lies in bridging the gap between higher education and African street styles, bringing visibility and cultural education and technique to contemporary spaces.
