Léna Anastasi

Léna Anastasi (she/her) is a contemporary dancer from Lyon. She draws on her contemporary foundation and her interest in K-pop choreography to fuse organic flow with dynamic, rhythmic elements, shaping a unique and evolving movement language. As both a dancer and choreographer, she believes in the power of art to inspire change, encourage reflection, and offer solace. Her work engages with themes of social urgency, environmental concern, and human relationships—topics that guide and ground her creative practice.
Léna is a graduate of the MA Dance: Performance programme at LCDS, where she was a member of Cohort 02. During the programme she worked with project leaders such as Dickson Mbi Company, Alexander Whitley Dance Company, Theo Clinkard, Steve Kirkham, Holly Blakey, Hannes Langolf, Seke Chimutengwende, Benjamin Jonsson, Rakesh Sukesh and Alleyne Dance under the course leadership of Tom English, Tina Afiyan Breiova and Dr Andrew Sanger, working closely with individual mentor Aishwarya Raut.
Meeting Aishwarya Raut, my mentor for the independent unit, and learning from her give me strength and confidence to transition from student to freelance artist.
