Jemima Brown

Dance artist and Musician

Jemima Brown is a Dance Artist and singer/songwriter originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, where she began her training in Ballet, Hip-Hop, Irish Dancing and Musical Theatre. She trained at London Contemporary Dance School from 2012-2015 where she attained a First Class BA(Hons) in Contemporary Dance.

Since Graduating, Jemima has been touring and performing in work nationally and internationally with companies such as Tom Dale Company, Shobana Jeyasingh Dance, James Cousins Company and Avant Garde Dance Company. Notably she has been 4 times nominated for a Critics’ Circle National Dance Award for her work with Tom Dale Company, James Cousins Company and Shobana Jeyasingh Dance for ‘Outstanding Female Modern Performance’ and ‘The Emerging Artist Award’.

As a versatile performer her work extends to the commercial world and Jemima has had the opportunity to dance for artists such as Kylie Minogue, Sam Smith, Jamie XX, Paloma Faith, Fleur East and Ellie Goulding.

As a keen musician, singer/songwriter alongside her dance career, Jemima has released her own EP ‘Alter Ego’ and various music videos under the artist name MYMA.
