Jatie Tucker

Jatie (they/them) is a non-binary dance maker, educator and performer.

Jatie established a successful career as a full time performer, touring nationally and internationally with companies including Richard Alston Dance Company and in the original West End cast of INALA:Live. They are a co-founder of Petri Delights, an inter-disciplinary collective which combines design and dance in a waste-free theatre making process.

As well as teaching for CAT, Jatie is currently Head Tutor of Contemporary and Commercial Dance at Italia Conti. Jatie trained on CAT, here at The Place, before continuing their studies at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and later as a postgraduate student at London Contemporary Dance School. Jatie’s teaching practice draws on their knowledge of dance technique and current industry practices in parallel with their experience as a Special Educational Needs Disability (SEND), secondary, further and higher education teacher.
