Otto & The Mutapa Calling - Zimbabwean / South African Dancers Needed

Otto & The Mutapa Calling is a London based marimba band playing enegetic music from southern Africa - namely, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana. We are looking for two dancers (who can also confidently sing backing vocals and play some simple percussion such as a shaker or cowbell) to join our band. The majority of our shows take place during the summer months, and include weddings, festivals, private and corporate events and club nights. Typical pay is around £150 per show plus travel expenses.

To be considered, you must be a natural performer - confident and able to engage with the audience. You must be comfortable learning and creating choreographies to go with the songs, including traditional African dances. You must be able or willing to learn the backing vocals in several southern African languages, including Isindebele, Chishona and Seswana / Sotho.
