About RES27: Collaboration with Sarah Golding

Collaboration sits at the heart of Sarah Golding's creative practice. With experience spanning the West End, international theatre, dance and live performance, Sarah loves infusing different disciplines into her work to create ideas that blend techniques from movement, music, and text.

In this interactive workshop, Sarah will share practical approaches to collaborating with performers, musicians, directors and other creatives, drawing on her experience across a wide range of productions and creative processes.

Drawing on Sarah's love of collaborating with musicians, directors and actors, you'll use discussion and studio-based tasks to generate material and discover how collaboration can unlock unexpected creative possibilities.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sarah Golding is an award-nominated choreographer and movement director. She trained at Trinity Laban, graduating with both a BA and MA in Dance Performance. Her theatre credits include KENREX (London & New York), Once On This Island (West End), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (West End & Tokyo) and Cruise (West End). Her choreographic work includes commissions for Luail – Ireland's National Dance Company (REVERB), BalletBoyz (The Intro), Phoenix Dance Theatre (KALENA), National Dance Company Wales with SAY (Say Something), ARCANE (Shanghai, with SAY), and Dave Okumu's I Came From Love (Roundhouse), as well as Donner Summer Reimagined.

As a performer, Sarah has appeared in the West End and toured internationally with STOMP. She is also co-creator of SAY, with whom she created the album, and has worked as movement director on Jamie Lloyd's The Effect (National Theatre & New York) and Romeo & Juliet ft. Tom Holland (West End).
