About The Seas Between Us

LIMITED EARLY BIRD TICKETS AVAILABLE*

A choreographic duet by Dresden-based Taiwanese choreographer Lo Fang-Yun, created in collaboration with Taiwanese dancer Chou Shu-Yi and Berlin-based Singaporean dancer Lee Mun Wai.

Inspired by the unresolved conflict between China and Taiwan, The Seas Between Us explores how political systems and cultural influences shape personal identity, behaviour and human relationships. Drawing from their distinct dance backgrounds and lived experiences, the performers navigate moments of difference, connection and tension through movement. The work approaches these questions through the language of the body – and opens up a multi-layered space for reflection, encounter and exchange.
