The highly anticipated new work from award-winning choreographic duo Ekleido (Hannah Ekholm and Faye Stoeser); Femina questions how femininity is perceived, embodied and valued through time.

Enter a mesmerising world characterised by Ekleido’s signature fusion of contemporary and club styles, where six dancers commune and transcend through an electronic musical landscape. Set to an original score by world-renowned musicians Floating Points (Mercury Prize nominee), Ela Minus and Stella Mozgawa, Femina looks at the spectrum of femininity in a layered, electrifying performance.

About Ekleido

Ekleido is a choreographic duo formed by Hannah Ekholm and Faye Stoeser, recognised for creating mesmerising and dynamic work across live performance and film. Their artistic practice embraces multidisciplinary collaboration, working closely with leading figures in the electronic music scene. Ekleido’s distinctive choreographic voice combine’s a unique blend of contemporary dance with underground club dance influences.

Ekleido received the Production Award at the 40th International Choreography Competition Hannover for Femina in 2026.

Femina has been commissioned and co-produced by The Place and co-commissioned by Gulbenkian and DanceEast.
