About Ballet Intermediate with Marie-Astrid Mence
This intensive will run from Monday 10 to Friday 14 August.
Refine your technique working on your strength and artistry!
Whether you’re returning to the barre or building your skills, this intensive helps you grow stronger and more confident. We use technique as a tool for expression, not restriction. Through simple visualisation, you’ll understand the “why” behind movements cover essentials like turnout and weight transfer, so you can build a solid foundation.
Come as you are and leave with a deeper understanding of your body and more confidence in your dancing. These classes are accompanied by a live pianist.
Classes were brilliant, the teachers were exceptional, so it was a real honour to learn from them.

Class Details
- Enrol for the week for £75 to save and guarantee your place or limited drop-ins for £17 per class.

- Please arrive on time - unfortunately we are unable to accommodate participants who are more than 15 minutes late as the warm-up is an important part of the class.

About Marie-Astrid Mence
Marie-AstridMence, born in Paris, trained at the Higher National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris and as a scholarship student at the Alvin Ailey School, New York. She danced with Ballet Black (2014–2021) and Phoenix Dance Theatre (2015), touring the UK and Europe, and was named Dancer of the Month in February 2016. Stage credits include Oklahoma!(Young Vic, Wyndham’s Theatre). Screen appearances include Disney’s Find Me in Paris, L’Opéra, Spellbound, Netflix’s Queen Charlotte, and her self-written short film The Truth of Being a Black Ballerina. She teaches and coaches ballet for prestigious UK companies and schools.
