Contemporary Introduction with Gerrard Martin
Autumn 2026
About Contemporary Introduction with Gerrard Martin
Autumn Term classes start on Monday 14 September and run until Monday 7 December 2026 (excluding Monday 26 October due to half term).
Begin your contemporary dance journey through simple movement and creative exploration!
This course is aimed at complete beginners and offers an introduction to contemporary dance in an encouraging and laid-back group setting, with opportunities for creative development and exploration of your own movement style.
Gerrard Martin’s class is a fusion of contemporary dance styles and is informed by yogic principles. He nurtures and challenges the dancer to meet their potential and feel that they are opening up to their creativity. Through a relaxed, encouraging, and inspiring style, Gerrard uses imagery to create mental pictures, in order to remember and connect with sequencing.
Move with live music by Andres Pascua as you explore key contemporary dance skills and gain confidence for your next step.
