South Asian Dance Equity: The Arts That British South Asian Dance Ignores

31 March 2025 (11am-5.30pm) and 1 April 2025 (10.30am-5pm)

Join us online for this vital symposium featuring research and conversations on the innovative practices of a wide range of under-represented and minoritised South Asian dance artists. Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council through a Dance Research Matters network grant, this event brings together artists and scholars from the UK and South Asia to highlight the creative resilience of minoritised artists within the British South Asian dance sector.

This symposium is delivered in collaboration with leading British South Asian arts organisations: Akademi, Baithak, Balbir Singh Dance Company, Nupur Arts, Sampad, and The Place Theatre.
