Theo Clinkard
Choreographer and Designer
Theo’s work spans choreography, design, performance, movement direction, mentoring and teaching. Following 18 years working as a dancer, he launched his own company in 2012 and across 10 years has created three evenings of work for the group: Ordinary Courage (2012), Of Land & Tongue (2014) and This Bright Field (2017). He also co-created The Elsewhen Series (2019) with regular collaborator Leah Marojević and is currently planning a new company work commissioned by Sadler’s Wells for 2024. Choreographic commissions include Tanztheatre Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Danza Contemporanea de Cuba & Candoco Dance Company. Theo leads workshops internationally, including engagements in Chile, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Slovenia, France, Finland and Sweden. He is an Associate Artist at Brighton Dome and an Honorary Fellow at Plymouth University.
