Alessia Tomassi Marinangeli is a multidisciplinary artist born in Milan, from Italian and Venezuelan heritage, and based in London. After her Business Degree in Milan and her first work experience in the fashion industry, she moved to London where she obtained a BA in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2023. Her choreographic work "ELECTIO" was featured in New Choreography Now: Choreography Mixed Bill at Bonnie Bird Theatre in 2023. She performed 33RPM and A Good Scare is a Wonderful Aphrodisiac at the 2024 Resolution Festival at The Place Theatre in London.

Her passion lies in movement intention, fashion aesthetic and economic topics that are able to shape in performing, physical theatre, choreography, research and movement direction. She can find the whole synthesis in connection and the human relation.

Alessia is a graduate of the MA Dance: Performance programme at LCDS, where she was a member of the inaugural Cohort 01. During the programme she worked with project leaders such as Theo Clinkard, Jenna Jalonen, Hannes Langolf, Paleta, Benjamin Jonsson, AE Company (Aoi Nakamura & Esteban Lecoq), Edivaldo Ernesto, Horacio Macuacua, Jozef Frucek and Alexandra Reynolds under the course leadership of Tom English, Tina Afiyan Breiova and Dr Andrew Sanger and working closely with individual mentor Theo Clinkard.

The program has been instrumental in my growth as a community dance artist, providing a secure space for reflection and future planning. I thrive on the expertise of my teachers and peers, absorbing their embodied knowledge like a sponge. Exploring diverse artistic processes, from workshops to devised performances, within contemporary dance and physical theatre has deepened my understanding of movement and performance.
