Abi Lewis
Abi Lewis is a multidisciplinary dance artist from the UK who is currently enjoying navigating the varied landscape of dance performance. Abi finds it most rewarding to be a part of works that encompass the feeling of authenticity, with an interest in exploring topics of resilience, vulnerability, versatility and instinct. In the future she hopes to continue collaborating and sharing processes with other creatives and looks forward to accessing forms of connection through new experiences, always learning and constantly evolving. Abi is a graduate of the MA Dance: Performance programme at LCDS, where she was a member of the inaugural Cohort 01. During the programme she worked with project leaders such as Theo Clinkard, Jenna Jalonen, Hannes Langolf, Paleta, Benjamin Jonsson, AE Company (Aoi Nakamura & Esteban Lecoq), Edivaldo Ernesto, Horacio Macuacua, Jozef Frucek and Alexandra Reynolds under the course leadership of Tom English, Tina Afiyan Breiova and Dr Andrew Sanger and working closely with individual mentor Becky Namgauds. |
Learning from such a variety of industry professionals through classes, workshops and performance projects was the most beneficial part for me. Challenging my adaptability as a performer and equipping me with invaluable knowledge to take forward with me in my career.
