About Early Weaves

Meet Willow and Weave as they dive deep into their imagination and embark on a journey of building trust. Together, they explore the possibilities of fabulously flexible willow, a fully compostable, carbon-sink material.

Early Weaves is a wonderful introduction to dance theatre for early years children from Ascension, a Black-led contemporary dance company based in Coventry.

A heart-warming tale of re-connecting with loved ones, this non-verbal show explores sound and movement and creates magic and laughter as it invites the audience in to play. Maybe it will spark a new adventure for you!

About Ascension Dance

Ascension is a Black-led contemporary dance company based in Coventry. Inspired by movement from Parkour and Free Running, the company is committed to creating eye-catching performances with human connection and raw physicality at their heart. Since its creation in 2017, Ascension has worked nationally including performances at the Greenwich & Docklands International Festival and Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and featured as part of BBC Dance Passion (2022), Commissioned by Sky Arts(2022) and Coventry’s Year as City of Culture (2021). The company is also passionate about creating opportunities for the next generation of movement artists.
