Shadows of Influence by Peter Butler
Shadows of Influence is a narrative, highly physical, contemporary dance piece exploring modern tools of manipulation – algorithms, influencers, industry – and their relationship to consumption.
Featuring an original score by Berwyn Cooper, an unnerving atmosphere unfolds as a morphing, formless ensemble takes shape around our protagonist, whose autonomy is tested by the persistent pull of these shadows.
Contemporary techniques and Eastern movement philosophies combine to provide a visually rich display, embodying different movement qualities and textures.
About Peter Butler

Graduating from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Peter has gone on to work with companies and under the direction of Humanhood Dance Company, Dagada Dance, Orla Hardie, James Cousins Dance Company, Juice Shuting and Bodies In Action Dance. His choreographic practice is inspired by ongoing research into holistic approaches to the body, human behaviour and emotion, looking at how they can influence qualities within movement.

Umbilicus by Soo Hahn & Hannah Mason
Two performers. One camera – tethered together by an umbilical cord.
Directed by Soo Hahn and choreographed by Hannah Mason, this pulsating yet fragile duet blends movement and cine-theatre to explore the symbiosis between a performer, media, and spectatorship.
Whoever controls the camera feed controls the narrative. As a dancer and a videographer on stage grapple for control of the camera – and ultimately of one another – they ask, who holds the power between a performer and the audience? Are they capable of existing without one another?
About Soo Hahn and Hannah Mason
Soo Hahn is a director of film and performance. Their work thematically focuses on conflicts between attention and validation, exploring the relationship between these struggles and human connection.
Hannah Mason is a performer and choreographer. Her practice investigates post-structural states of presence and persona, thematically exploring frames of the spectre and the dynamics of spectatorship in social domains.
Within their collaboration, they have developed various live performances blending technology and movement. Their individual and collaborative work across performance and film have been platformed by the likes of ICA, Saatchi Gallery Learning, Horse Hospital, Sadler's Wells Lilian Baylis Theatre, and more.

First Rain by Amari Webb-Martin
Inspired by the Orisha, powerful deities rooted in Yoruba tradition whose legacies endure across the African Diaspora, First Rain is a contemporary dance piece paying homage to Western and African dance practices.
Inspired by the Rain Festival of Santa Cruz, Trinidad, the piece follows Shango, Orisha of thunder, drumming and masculine energy, and Oshun, Orisha of sweet rivers, love and femininity. Guided by Nana Buruku, the grandmother Orisha, their story explores the relationship between divine feminine and masculine energies, questioning how they coexist within us all.
With an original score by Amari Webb-Martin and an ensemble of nine versatile dancers, witness relentless rhythms, irresistible grooves and a celebration of diasporic movement traditions.
