About Family Dance Day

Saturday 19 July, 10am-5pm

For one day only, The Place is taking over Coram’s Fields with a jam-packed day of entertainment for the whole family!

The ever popular Family Dance Day returns with a new line up of FREE events and activities for children (aged 2-10 years) and their grown-ups.

Throughout the day there will be interactive storytelling, arts, crafts, dance workshops, plus shows specifically created for family audiences, with more to be announced soon:

You Too Can Tutu is Gandini Juggling’s first-ever children’s show, a tongue-in-cheek take on the grand storytelling of classic ballet in which two ambitious characters are determined to create the world’s first juggling ballet.

the album: skool edition by SAY is an energetic and joyous outdoor dance show created specifically for kids and their families. Combining fast-paced and slick contemporary dance routines to exciting new music, this interactive performance celebrate the joy and innocence of making up dances and get creative with movement.

This year, Family Dance Day will be taking over Coram’s Fields come rain or shine. Don’t miss London’s most exciting family dance event of the year.

Throughout the day there will be shows for all ages, plus interactive storytelling, arts, crafts, dance workshops and so much more.

How to get there

Family Dance Day will be taking place at Coram's Fields (93 Guilford St, London, WC1N 1DN). The closest stations are Russell Square, Euston and Kings Cross Stations.

Weather

Family Dance Day will happen come rain or shine.

In the event of rain there's plenty of room for shows to take place inside, just bring your wellies and rain coats for jumping in puddles.

If it's a very hot day, we will have lots of water on hand and there's plenty of shade in the park, there's even a splash pool to cool off in.
