Over 60s Spring Intensive with Livia Massarelli
Spring 2025

About Over 60s Spring Intensive with Livia Massarelli
Class starts on Mon 31 March and runs through Fri 4 Apr
Come and join us for a highly engaging and creative week led by choreographer and dance artist Livia Massarelli.
The week-long workshop will explore body movement as a means of non-verbal communication, focusing on human connection, support, and creativity. Through movement, participants will share emotions, ideas, and images in a safe, playful environment.
Livia’s dynamic and energising class begins with self-awareness and deep listening, gradually building strength and technical skills. It combines elements from contemporary dance techniques Livia has taught over the years, including Cunningham, Graham, Release, Limon, and improvisation. Experience technical exercises and sequences with a particular attention to body awareness in space, dancer relationships, and musicality.
The afternoon choreographing session will be dedicating to develop a piece which will be shared at the end of the week on Friday 4th April. The studio will be open to friends, family and colleagues to come and enjoy the work you will be creating under the artistic direction of Livia.
Weekly schedule: 10:30 to 12:00 technique class, 12:00 to 1:00pm lunch break, 1:00 to 2:30pm Choreographic session.
We hope you can join us on this occasion! For any questions, please contact our team on classes@theplace.org.uk.
