About Summer Dance Course for Ages 7 - 10
Dance and circus artist Ella Mesma will lead a week-long class based around her company’s latest production for families, The Rainbow Butterfly, an immersive adventure to the moon which blends aerial circus and dynamic contemporary dance.
Children aged 7 – 10 will have the chance to try their hand at aerial circus skills and dance, learn about storytelling in theatre, and to find their wings through creative tasks.
The course includes an informal sharing on the Friday afternoon so that friends and family can see what their young people have been working on.

about the company
Ella Mesma Company is a British based dance and circus theatre company drawing upon a diverse range of folkloric dance styles to create highly-skilled theatre. Much of the company’s inspiration is borne out of the Company Director’s diverse training in Afro-Latin, Breaking and Contemporary dance, as well as aerial arts and the diverse skills that each individual company member brings.
important information
- Enrol for the full week for £250.00 or drop-in to the classes from Monday – Wednesday for £65.00 per day.
- Dancers will need to bring a packed lunch each day, plenty of snacks and a refillable water bottle.
- Dancers should make sure they wear comfortable clothing that they can move around in (but no dresses or skirts please).
