World-renowned hip hop dance theatre company Boy Blue lead this week-long intensive for ages 11-14.
Learn the foundations of hip hop with this award-winning company who have toured the globe with their inspirational dance moves. Discover and explore Boy Blue’s unique social grooves, creative frameworks and technical skills, then use them to create your own masterpiece.
The course includes an informal sharing on the Friday afternoon so that friends and family can see what their young people have been working on.
Exploring their creativity, being connected with their physical bodies, the very inspiring teachers, TAs and musicians, a safe place where they socialise and feel connected.

about the company
Founded in London in 2001, hip-hop dance theatre company Boy Blue is the award-winning brainchild of composer Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante and choreographer Kenrick ‘H2O’ Sandy. Artistic Associates of the Barbican, London, Boy Blue create works for the stage and screen, while running a highly respected dance training programme in East London. Their work continues through their teaching, training and mentoring programmes both in the UK and internationally.
important information
- Enrol for the full week for £250.00 or drop-in to the classes from Monday – Wednesday for £65.00 per day.
- Dancers will need to bring a packed lunch each day, plenty of snacks and a refillable water bottle.
- Dancers should make sure they wear comfortable clothing that they can move around in (but no dresses or skirts please).
