Experience a fusion of Afro-Cuban and Contemporary Dance
Miguel Altunaga’s technique class will combine vibrant rhythms of Afro-Cuban dance with key technical elements of contemporary dance drawn from his career with Rambert Dance Company. His charismatic and enthusiastic personality will guide you through intricate, joyful and energetic movement sequences, leaving you feeling strong and connected as a group. Experience a sense of liberation and inner groove in class supported by the live music of Bobby Demers.

- Enrol for the term for £70.00 to save and guarantee your place or drop-in for £16.00 per class.

- Please arrive on time - unfortunately we are unable to accommodate participants who are more than 15 minutes late as the warm-up is an important part of the class.

About your teacher
Miguel Altunaga trained at Cuba's National School of Contemporary, Modern and Folk Dance, performing as a principal dancer with the National Contemporary Dance Company of Cuba for six years. He joined Rambert in 2007, dancing in works by various esteemed choreographers. He has also performed with Hofesh Shechter Company, Akram Khan Company, and Lost Dog Company in collaboration with the Royal Opera House. As a choreographer, Miguel has created works for Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Birmingham Royal Ballet, and more. Notable accolades include the Cuban Best Male Solo Award and multiple Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards UK nominations.
