About Contemporary Beginners with Alleyne Dance
This intensive will run from Monday 4 - Friday 8 August 2025
Get Moving with Dynamics, Rhythm, and Texture
This energising contemporary class will explore physical and expressive movement through technical exercises and dynamic phrases, with a focus on rhythms and textures. In these sessions, Alleyne Dance will introduce body isolation, articulation, and the fluid movement of the spine. Let the music fuel your creativity and joy in every step with live music accompaniment by Bobby Demers.
This class is ideal for those who have completed our Contemporary Introduction courses or have some prior dance experience, allowing you to further develop your skills in Contemporary dance.
Class Details
- Enrol for the week for £70.00 to save and guarantee your place or drop-in for £16.00 per class

- Please arrive on time - unfortunately we are unable to accommodate participants who are more than 15 minutes late as the warm-up is an important part of the class

About your teacher
Award-winning Alleyne Dance is a unique and powerful company that blends Caribbean, Hip Hop and Kathak, within a contemporary dance context. The choreographic language focuses on rhythms and textures with movement that is athletic, fast paced and dynamic, with infusions of lyrical and fluid motion.
Founded in 2014 by award-winning sisters, Kristina and Sadé Alleyne, the company strives for high quality and excellence in three main objectives: Performance: with productions made for the stage, outdoors and film, Participation: with bespoke training classes and workshops for community groups, youth groups, vocational institutions, professional companies, and dance festivals, Development: by nurturing the professional journey of dancers as they find their artistic voice and strengthen their skills.
