About Waacking with Kumari Suraj

A unique opportunity to learn Waacking from one of the form’s founders.

Non-binary multi-disciplinary artist, choreographer, creative director, designer, 2SLGBTQ+ activist, and personality Kumari Suraj returns with their hugely popular Waacking class. Learn history, movement foundation and building your individual style of dance.

Waacking is a vintage disco dance style created in the gay clubs of Los Angeles in the 1970s. Now an established movement in the UK, this is a unique experience to learn from the person who trained the first generation of Waacking in the UK.

The class will be accompanied by accomplished multi-instrumentalist Auris Delan.
