Over 60’s Contemporary with James Muller
Summer intensive 2024
About Over 60’s Contemporary with James Muller
Work with physicality and develop a more dynamic approach to movement.
James’ progressive approach is influenced by Cunningham and release-based Contemporary styles. Cunningham technique emphasises the movement of the spine through curves, tilts, twists, and arches. Incorporation of Release technique encourages flowing movements that focus on breath.
James will guide you through the class beginning with some light improvisational elements to warm up the body, before moving into more technical exercises to align the spine. You will have the opportunity to explore your own styles and approach to movement through a choreographed phrase that will be added to each day of the intensive.
Highly experienced teacher and dancer James Muller leads this progressive class for anyone over 60.
