Join Extended Play Dance and highly experienced company dancer Fern Grimbley for a deep dive into their latest touring production, How to Build a Universe.
Participants can expect to learn repertoire and improvisation techniques in this class which delves into the company’s choreographic process. The workshop will have a strong focus on musicality, relationships and the pure joy of moving with others!
about the company
Extended Play is led by Jamaal Burkmar, an internationally recognised award-winning choreographer, and a graduate of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. His debut work 'Ocean' was commissioned as a second-year student and later reworked for Northern School of Contemporary Dance's postgraduate company. Winner of the New Adventures Choreographer Award, his work revolves around music and challenging Eurocentric ideals to create inclusive contemporary choreography.
