About Contemporary Intermediate with Laura Gibson
Classes start on Thurs 18th April 2024 and run until Thurs 4th July 2024 (excluding Thurs 30th May due to half term)
Strengthen your technique while enjoying an expansive use of space
Perfect for anyone with at least 3 years of dance experience and who is looking to gain a new insight into contemporary dance.
Laura teaches an energetic release-based class, exploring technical precision through dynamic movement, which plays with qualities of fall and suspension. The class will include set exercises to help develop technique and musicality alongside encouraging you to find enjoyment through the expansive use of space. The live music by Stefano Ancora will help inspire your movement throughout the class.

- Enrol for the term for £140.00 to save and guarantee your place or drop-in for £14.00 per class (concessions available)

- Please arrive on time - unfortunately we are unable to accommodate participants who are more than 15 minutes late as the warm-up is an important part of the class.

about your teacher
Through a dance career spanning 22 years, Laura has established herself as a creative practitioner, choreographer and technique teacher across the industry. In 2005 Laura became a founding member of Two Thirds Sky, including 'Hold' (2011) and 'Eventide' (2015). Laura has worked with various choreographers and companies throughout her career, including Kerry Nicholls and Shane Shambhu and Lisa Risdale. Laura has worked in creative roles in education, outreach, and within the youth dance sector, representing and assisting professional companies & choreographers including RADC, Henri Oguike, Kenneth Tharp and Dance United.
