Contemporary Beginners with Adrian Look
Spring 2025
About Contemporary Beginners with Adrian Look
Classes start on Wed 8th Jan and run until Wed 26th March 2025 (excluding Wed 19th Feb due to half term)
Work with increased physicality and develop a more dynamic approach to movement.
This class is designed to build upon the foundations of our introduction course, allowing you to expand your skills and explore the art of Contemporary dance even further.
Adrian's approach is influenced by improvisation, release and Tanztheater which is a dance technique that combines elements of ballet and contemporary dance in a dramatic environment. It was developed by iconic choreographer Pina Bausch.
Adrian will guide you through the class, helping you develop your skills and technique, accompanied by live music by James Taylor. You will have the opportunity to explore your own styles and approach to movement through a choreographed phrase that will be taught in class.
