About Contemporary Beginners with Sarah Miller and Adrian Look

Classes start on Wed 18th Sep 2024 and run until Wed 4th December 2024 (excluding Wed 30th Oct due to half term)

Work with increased physicality and develop a more dynamic approach to movement.

This class is designed to build upon the foundations of our introduction course, allowing you to expand your skills and explore the art of Contemporary dance even further.

Dance artist, Sarah Miller* will guide you through the class, helping you develop your skills and technique, accompanied by live music by rhythmic percussionist James Taylor. You will have the opportunity to explore your own styles and approach to movement through a choreographed phrase that will be taught in class.

*From Wednesday 6th November dance artist Adrian Look will teach the class until the end of term.

His approach is influenced by improvisation, release and Tanztheater which is a dance technique that combines elements of ballet and contemporary dance in a dramatic environment. It was developed by iconic choreographer Pina Bausch.
