About Contemporary Introduction with Simone Sistarelli

Autumn Term Classes start on Saturday 19 September and run until Saturday 12 December 2026 (excluding Saturday 31 October due to half term).

Jump, spin, and glide across the floor with contemporary dance.

This course is aimed at complete beginners and offers an introduction to contemporary dance in an encouraging and laid-back group setting, with opportunities for creative development of your own style. The live music by Bobby Demers will help inspire your movement throughout the class.

Simone will guide you through the basics of core contemporary dance vocabularies and techniques. There will be opportunities to try out a range of contemporary dance skills from moving across the floor to simple springs and jumps. You will leave confident and ready to take your next step into contemporary dance.

  • Enrol for the full 12-week term for £196 to secure your place and save or join a £18 taster session in the first week of the term (concessions available) with the option to enrol afterwards.

about your teacher

Simone Sistarelli is a dance artist, musician, social entrepreneur, author and public speaker. He is the founder of Popping for Parkinson's, a project that transforms Parkinson's patients into Popping dance students, a twice TEDx Speaker and was awarded in the Universal Hip Hop Museum Hall of Fame for his contribution to Hip Hop Culture and by the UK Government as a Point of Light outstanding volunteer. Simone has a BA in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and an MSc in Dance Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire.
