About Relaxed Creative Dance for Ages 4-7 and Grown Ups

Classes start on Saturday 19 September and run until Saturday 5 December 2026 (excluding Saturday 31 October 2026 due to half term).

A creative weekly dance class designed especially for children aged 4–7 with additional access needs. This includes hearing, learning, mental health, physical, social/behavioral or visual impairments.

Led by experienced dance artist Laura Heywood, the session offers a fun and supportive space for children and their parents or carers to explore movement together.

Through play, music, and imagination, children build confidence, develop coordination, and enjoy expressing themselves at their own pace. These sensory, playful sessions provide a nurturing introduction to dance, shaped around a theme and tailored to each child’s needs, supporting them to follow their own journey and potentially transition into our wider classes programme.

With small class sizes and additional support from a teaching assistant, each child is encouraged to move, create, and connect in ways that feel comfortable and joyful alongside their parent/carer.

This dance class has been an absolutely wonderful experience for our daughter. The relaxed, creative approach makes it perfect for SEND children, and the teacher is truly exceptional, patient, engaging, and incredibly supportive. The class involves parents too, making it a fun experience for the whole family. It has become our daughter’s favourite activity, and we would highly recommend.
