Performer, Choreographer, Movement Director
Hailing from the UK, Sam is a multi-award-winning artist whose career spans dance and theatre, stage and screen. He began his dance journey at a young age, thanks to his mum's encouragement to join local community classes. After years of honing his craft, Sam graduated from London Contemporary Dance School with both BA (Hons) and MA degrees in performance and choreography.
Sam's resume includes collaborations with renowned companies like Jasmin Vardimon, Clod Ensemble, Gecko Theatre, the Royal Opera House, and The Farm, along with a notable six years as a senior member of Hofesh Shechter Company. He’s also made a mark in film, working as a performer and movement director with names like English National Ballet, Jon Hopkins, FKA Twigs, Chemical Brothers, Uber, Myer, and Universal Pictures.
With a rich portfolio of original work showcased internationally, Sam's practice uniquely blends clowning, mask, and mime with intricate choreography. His creations are known for their satire, dark humor, and absurdism. Since 2021, he has been working between Europe and Australia and is currently with Australasian Dance Collective as Rehearsal Director.
