Manal is a dance performer, choreographer, movement facilitator and community lover based in Morocco. Their aspiration is to bring more accessibility and inclusion to the artistic practice of the body, particularly with the bodies that are often marginalized. Through a contemporary approach, Manal’s research focuses on how movement and performance can set collective healing, political and spiritual transformations. Her creations Koboul قُبول ; Ab.Normal ماشي عادي ; They هُمْنَ ; the tree and the forest الشجرة و الغابة are all workshop-based, and have been shared in various spaces in North-Africa and Europe. In parallel to their artistic practice, Manal is involved in the reflection and practice of queer feminist self-defense.
