James Aiden Kay
Dance Artist, Teacher and Co-Director of Traceworks Dance

James Aiden Kay is a dance artist, teacher and co-director of Traceworks Dance. James is a postgraduate alum and he toured around the UK and Europe performing with EDGE. Whilst studying for an MA at LCDS, James researched how to make contemporary dance accessible to a wider audience.
James has extensive experience as a performer and choreographer touring around the world for numerous projects and companies at prestigious venues including the Royal Opera House, Hackney Empire, Wilton’s Music Hall and the Royal Albert Hall for BBC Proms. He has performed in new creations for Hack Ballet, IJAD Dance Company, Summit Dance Theatre in Switzerland, Canada and the UK, Eldarin Yeong Studio in Taiwan and the UK, Slot Machine Theatre, Classic Ballet UK, Purefeo in Malta and the UK and The Kosh filmed by ITV & BBC News. James has danced for the Cohan Collective on three residencies and was in rehearsal for Robert Cohan's work Communion with Yorke Dance Project.
