Hugo Peña is a Chilean resident in Berlin since 2017. He is a dance pedagogue and choreographer. Up until 2016, he worked at the Universidad Academia de Humanismo in Chile as a professor at the faculty of arts. While living in Berlin, he collaborated with visual and sound artists, in addition to his work as a dance teacher and facilitator of community dance workshops. Since 2019 he has been actively involved in collaborative art through ISEAS Finland, Symposium for socially engaged art.
Through my experience on the course so far, I have been able to question and re-signify my practice in all its aspects: as a pedagogue, facilitator, creator and performer. I am gratified by the diversity of knowledge and the diversity and breadth of the guest artists. I learn with every activity, every reading, and every encounter with my fellow students, which opened a portal of constant and intense evolution
