Heather Habens
Heather trained at the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance (now Trinity Laban), gaining a B.A (Hons) in Dance Theatre, and worked as a dancer, dance Teacher and movement director for over 20 years.
Her exploration of the physical experience and wellbeing of the individual in dance led her to develop an interest in supporting the wellbeing of the ‘whole’ person – the physical, mental and emotional aspects of self.
Heather began her counselling training in 2017, gaining Qualified Counsellor status through completion of the CPCAB Therapeutic Counselling Diploma. She has since completed a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
As an Integrative Counsellor, she works primarily with Person Centred Approach, while drawing on aspects of other counselling modalities, such as Cognitive BehaviouralTherapy-based techniques.
Counselling can provide invaluable support in relation to a broad range of issues and concerns. Heather will be open to what you bring, and offer a non-judgemental, confidential environment in which you can explore your difficulties and challenges, process thoughts and feelings and find the best solutions for you.
