Movement Research, Education Collective

Founded in 2015, Ferus Animi // Terra Nova is a specialist movement organisation based in Europe. The company’s mission statement is to bring education around movement, meditation and wilderness practices to the masses, through a practice-as-research methodology that explores the fields of neuroscience, evolutionary physiology, functional biomechanics, performance psychology and applied philosophy.

Artistically FA//TN provides movement direction and specialism for projects across artistic media such as film, television, theatre, dance, and circus.

The company’s educational programs aim to locate and disseminate pioneering research from the forefront of scientific and artistic thought, in relevant and accessible workshop formats that enrich the practices of their students and collaborators.

Key artists and researchers who have contributed to Ferus Animi // Terra Nova’s development over the past 10 years include Tom English, Tina Afiyan-Breiová, Kim Amankwaa, Winston Reynolds, Samuel Baxter, Lia Ujčič, Lewis Cooke, Lisa Horten-Skilbrei, Cassandre Cantillon, Clémentine Télesfort, Lisard Tranis and David Kam, in addition to many other invaluable contributions.
