Ella Posti
Ella Posti is a London-based dance artist, performer, and choreographer originally from Finland. She is a founding member of the performer-led R.A.W collective and the artistic support network MOŸ MOŸ collective. As a dancer and creator she is intrigued by the endless possibilities of imagination and explores different ways to express one's inner world and most private self through movement. Ella is incorporating film into her artistic practice as a means to explore the nuances and intricacies of a performer with even greater detail. Through video, she wishes to connect with audiences beyond traditional theater spaces and make contemporary dance a more accessible form of art. Ella is a graduate of the MA Dance: Performance programme at LCDS, where she was a member of the inaugural Cohort 01. During the programme she worked with project leaders such as Theo Clinkard, Jenna Jalonen, Hannes Langolf, Paleta, Benjamin Jonsson, AE Company (Aoi Nakamura & Esteban Lecoq), Edivaldo Ernesto, Horacio Macuacua, Jozef Frucek and Alexandra Reynolds under the course leadership of Tom English, Tina Afiyan Breiova and Dr Andrew Sanger and working closely with individual mentor Hannes Langolf. |
One of the most meaningful learning experience this year was working with Hannes Langolf on a three-week verbatim project. I discovered an exciting new realm of physical theatre where movement, text, playfulness and detail came together in the most exciting way and challenged me on another level as a performer.
