Job Description

Following recent ACE funding, Se19DanceProject are looking for Dancers/Performers, Workshop Facilitators and Workshop Assistants for their Croydon based project: Mission Earth, which consists of a tour of the interactive work for children “Up The Hill’’ and series of creative movement workshops.

We are currently recruiting for below roles:

Performers:

We are looking for two dancers/performers who have experience of working with children or performing in works for young audiences. Experience working with text and spoken word would be an additional plus. We hope to find performers who are passionate about children’s engagement in dance and believe in the power of dance to activate and empower children.

The work you will be performing in has been created and performed before, however there will be space for creative input. You will be working with choreographers Greta Gauhe and Ania Straczynska.

The dancer/performer fees are as follows-

Rehearsal daily rate: £150

Performance daily rate: £200

Musician/Composer

We are looking for a musician/ composer to join the team of performers for Up The Hill interactive performance for children and families.

We are looking for an artist who:

* Is passionate about music and dance

* Has experience of working with children

* Has an original musical style

* Wants to inspire creativity in others

* Is confident in communicating with children/ audiences

In the initial performance, the musician assumed the role of a narrator, actively contributing to the performance alongside the dancers. We're seeking someone who not only enjoys composing and playing music but also takes an active role in involving children into the work.

The musician/ composer fees are as follows-

Rehearsal daily rate: £150

Performance daily rate: £200

Composing time will be paid if you will be composing specifically for this project.

Workshops Facilitators:

This role would suit dance teachers who can facilitate creative workshops in schools. This role would suit experienced individuals who can plan and lead inspiring and engaging movement workshops.

Workshop Assistants:

This role would suit recent graduates or dance teachers with less than 2 years of teaching experience who are interested in gaining new skills.

The Workshop fees are as follows-

Workshop lead: £50 for 1h workshop

Workshop assistant: £25 for 1h workshop
