Job Description
Open Contemporary Class Sundays (during term time) from 14 April with Viv Bridson (Place Alumnus).
Music: Nick Linnik, Isaac Robertson.
Viv was invited to contribute to London Contemporary Dance School as a teacher in 1975 and became Assistant to Jane Dudley, Head of Graham Studies in 1979. In 1988, she went to Germany, first working as Rehearsal Director for Reinhild Hoffmann in Schauspielhaus Bochum. Two years later, she concentrated on her work at the Folkwanghochschule Tanz, (now Folkwang Uni), the feeder school for Tanztheater Wuppertal. She stayed until 2002 when she returned to London.
Since then she has been been working in Theatre and Film, teaching Class at The Place on Sundays.
Viv, now 86, has experience of many of the 20th Century Dance Pioneers starting with Laban. Her class is based on this knowledge. The class is for those in professional training or dance/theatre/performance art backgrounds.
Location: The Place, Studio 8 (with the exception of 14th April when it is Studio 2).
