Three days of events to get Londoners dancing, as part of Angela Rippon CBE's national campaign

Dance takes me away from everyday life and puts me in a world of my own. I often find dance engages all of my senses, almost as a form of mindfulness.

Dance and Movement has the ability to change people’s lives. We are only just beginning to see the amazing power and opportunity that dance can unleash.

From Friday 28 February – Sunday 2 March, The Place is taking part in Let’s Dance, a nationwide campaign spearheaded by Angela Rippon CBE, to encourage people of all ages to embrace the joy, and experience the health and wellbeing benefits, of dance.

From free taster dance classes in our studios, a Meet & Move event in our cafe, young people from Camden on stage in our theatre, to members of the local community joining professional dancers and dance students for pop-up performances at the O2 Centre, Finchley Road; we’ll be bringing the Let’s Dance campaign to Camden and encouraging locals to give dance a try – as participants and audiences.

As part of Let's Dance, we want to make sure that every child and young person has access to high quality dance teachers and the opportunity to learn to dance!

By supporting the The Iris Tomlinson Fund, you will help The Place to provide children and young people access to small bursaries, which help families with the cost of our fantastic programme of Children and Youth classes.
