Job Description

The Place, London’s creative powerhouse for dance development, has been leading the way in dance training, creation, and performance for over 50 years the boldest dance theatre. We are now seeking a Senior Technician to join our Technical Team.

The Senior Technician, reporting to the Technical Manager and Deputy Technical Manager, is responsible for the maintenance, operation and control of all lighting, sound and AV equipment used within the theatre, as well as supervising the casual technicians working with the Technical Team. Their role is to ensure that productions in the Robin Howard Dance Theatre, and those produced by The Place, are realised to the highest possible professional technical standards and to offer ongoing artist support. If you are self-motivated, able to work well as part of a team, and have experience of working within a busy theatre environment then we would love to hear from you.

Salary: £29,070 per annum rising to £30,000 per annum upon successful completion of probation period.

This is a full-time position and The Place’s normal working hours are 40 hours per week. During busy periods, the number of working hours may increase for which you will receive overtime payments.

The post requires a willingness to work during evenings, weekends and unsocial hours as needed.
