About RESOLUTION 26: ZhouXin Theatre, Babyteeth and Dream

Doom Box
Merging live performance and installation, Doom Box investigates the ‘body’ as a non-narrative synthesis of artistic subjects.
Shattered and twisted mannequins, like water suspended in the air, intertwine with Möbius band–like lines. The ‘body’ is deconstructed into a soft, fluid vacuum, revealing its intricate tension and fragility as it lingers on the verge of collapse. Doom Box creates a poetic field of nothingness through fragmentation and collage. The image of the ‘blank body’ serves as a metaphorical medium representing an artistic entity released from the exploitation of discourse, emphasizing physicality and ineffable moments.

Woven Souls
Witness the dialogue between two people's relationship.
Amber Lew and Lucia Taylor create a world where co-dependency manifests as the characters attempt to satisfy emptiness within each other.
Will they realise that to satisfy each other, they have to be satisfied with themselves? Or will they continue to exist in the cycle of imitation, manipulation, and confrontation? Prepare to be drawn into an experience where the people before you struggle to navigate their independence. We only hope that in the pursuit of woven souls they don’t fully disappear as individuals.
About Babyteeth
Babyteeth is the choreographic name for the collaborated work of Amber Lew and Lucia Taylor. They are both movement artists and creators who discovered a shared choreographic voice and vision despite their different backgrounds, with Lew being from California and Taylor from London. Babyteeth’s origins began at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2023 where they co-choreographed their first piece, Woven Souls. After presenting Woven Souls at New Century Dance Project that same year, they then continued to co-create artistically, choreographing their second piece: I hope your card came, premiering in 2024 at the Boston Conservatory’s WinterWorks. They are eager to see what the future of Babyteeth holds!

Immuto
A dance performance exploring transformation as a constant force in all life. It moves beyond what changes or how, delving into the essence of change itself, both intrinsic and extrinsic, internal and external.
Immuto is a conversation between humans and the force of change itself. Each moment becomes a metaphor that explores the essence of adaptation and malleability.
At its core, Immuto is an inquiry into how we transform, resist, and ultimately co-exist with the inevitability of change.
