About RESOLUTION 26: Danyna Mearns and Adam Havsky, Antonia Latz and Luke Maher, and Rebelo Dance Company

The Final Frontier
Two people experience dying: trapped in limbo, one patiently waiting for death that has yet to arrive while the other fights against their imminent departure.
This multi-disciplinary contemporary circus piece explores death and the experience of dying as a lighter take on the heavy subject, combining live music, dance, and circus.

REM
REM folds and unfolds deep in the unconscious of a dreaming mind. Asleep yet awake, REM dances with dreams and moves with mares, morphing the phantasmal paradox of real and surreal, cyclic and unceasing, timeless and fleeting. An opaque sculpture within and without translucent sound, resides in a world with no place, where logic is fluid, where time bends, and where the body becomes a bizarrely reminiscent site of memory, processing, and transformation.
Intertwining contemporary dance and quotidian gesture, REM explores how trauma manifests in and through the body, and how dreams act as both containers and disruptors of these internal experiences.
About antonia Latz and Luke Maher
Antonia Latz, contemporary dancer and movement artist, explores her curiosity towards nuances of the human experience through choreography and performance. Interested in what connects and disconnects us to and from ourselves, each other, and the world we live in, her current creative experiments feature motifs of the quotidian, mental health, nature, and abstraction, intertwining modern and contemporary dance techniques with pedestrian gesture. Research into semiotics, phenomenology, Butoh and chance procedures further inform her practice, as well as a close collaboration with musician, composer, and producer Luke Maher, whose work aims to explore the spectrum between score and sound design. REM features a mixture of preconceived composition, field recordings, narration and improvised music featuring violinist Dom Ingham and Vibraphone player Jonny Mansfield.

MYSTIQUE
MYSTIQUE unfolds through the eyes of a fortune teller, guiding us into a realm where time bends and form dissolves. Shadows breathe, energies collide, and shapeless entities drift between existence and illusion. The stage becomes a lucid dream — a world of confusion, beauty, and curiosity suspended in constant transformation. Darkness thickens, yet within it, fragments of light shimmer, revealing fragile moments of hope and clarity. Every movement speaks in riddles, every gesture whispers a secret from beyond. MYSTIQUE invites us to surrender to mystery — to find light, even in the darkest corners of imagination.
