About Orange Skies Theatre, Perpetual Folly and Silas Grocott Cain // PussyBoy

I'll Hold You

I’ll Hold You is Northern Soul meets acrobatic circus. A show that brings a story of connection through the power of music, movement and popular culture. Inspired by the athletic moves of the dance floors of Wigan Casino in the early 70s and the resurgence of the scene, proving that Northern Soul never dies.

I’ll Hold You
offers audiences a heartfelt and joyful look at reconnecting with loved ones.

About Orange Skies Theatre

Orange Skies is an acclaimed theatre and circus company led by Artistic Director Daisy Minto. We create performance and arts experiences, to touch hearts and entertain. Our practice is interdisciplinary & collaborative; drawing predominately on theatre, circus arts, cabaret and installation. Liveness and congregation are crucial, structural and essential in all our work.

We occupy a unique position as a theatre company using circus arts as an integrated form for storytelling, blending text and story with highlevel circus arts and theatrical dramaturgy. We approach our creation practice with curiosity, collaboration and a spirit of innovation.

Terpsichore in Jest

How do you save face when your partner keeps stepping on your toes?

Terpsichore in Jest
features two brave souls attempting to navigate the treacherous waters of working together, holding out for the occasional triumph when they almost get it right. What is partnership if not tolerating someone else’s nonsense?

The pressure is on, dear audience, because you are watching! With clumsiness and persistence, they hurdle forward, negotiating shared space with little ease. Let the ridiculous pursuit of harmony, symphony of side-eyes and tiny flickers of brilliance commence!

Experiments 1-5

The test subjects are siblings. Their sibling bond has tied them from birth till death. We are running tests to understand what it means to be related. Their risks will be rewarded, their trust is imperative, if one should fall the other must catch otherwise our experiments have failed. You will see the subjects submitted to five experiments on connection, trust and transformation. Do not feed the subjects.

About Silas Grocott Cain (PussyBoy)

Silas Grocott Cain founded PussyBoy Collective with the support of sister Delilah Grocott Cain. now for the first time, they are working together on a work that explores what their relationship means for their choreographic and performance practices. Silas has created performances that harness improvisational practices to dissect themes of queerness and trans experience, rave culture, and nature with a lot of their work being shared in rave settings. Delilah's current research stems from the idea of "inhabiting" exploring themes of folklore, locale, and nature, with a movement quality that casts expansive energy over a quite groove.
