About Resolution 2024: Barnaby Booth - Lighting Design Workshop

Barnaby Booth (he/they) delivers a workshop that will aim to give new professional creatives an overview of the possibilities of lighting design in dance. It will equip participants with techniques for collaborating with lighting designers and technicians and suggest achievable approaches to working with lighting, with the restrictions of producing a performance in the early stages of your career. The workshop will culminate in the artist writing a realistic lighting concept for their work during Resolution, so that you are best prepared for entering your tech time in 2024.

The key idea of the workshop is for artists to become interested in lighting as an art form - successful and respectful collaboration is also a central theme!

This workshop will take place at The Place in Studio 1, 11am - 5pm.
