This partnership began with 3 taster creative dance sessions in Autumn 2023, with an older adults’ group that meet regularly at HCA. We plan to develop this work with older adults in our local communities together, with a focus on ageing well and creative health projects over the next 5 years.

In Autumn 2024 we started offering satellite creative dance classes for children aged 4-6 and 7-11years following requests from families at the centre and we continued these through the spring term 2025. In summer 2025 we continued to offer the class for 4–6-year-olds and will also develop dance projects with children that connect with our family programme of dance performances across the year.

HCA create the spaces and opportunities for individuals, groups and the wider community in Holborn to thrive.  Their community spaces (three centres and multiple outreach settings across the area) are welcoming, accessible and shaped by the community.  All these opportunities, or activities, support individuals to build their skills, confidence and overall well-being.
