Creative Learning produces a bi-annual Creative Careers Fair for up to 140 Year 8 & 9 pupils from Camden secondary schools in November, hosted at The Place.

Young people experience a carousel of taster workshops in music, dance, drama, creative writing, visual art, animation and theatre production, as well as speed networking sessions in a marketplace. Workshops are delivered by Camden based organisations including The Place, Roundhouse, British Library, October Gallery and Camden Youth Theatre.

Stallholders include London Contemporary Dance School, Donmar Warehouse, English Heritage, BRIT School, Holborn Community Centre, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Old Diorama Arts Centre. Young people are able to find out about these organisations and also learn about the stallholder's career journey too.

We were very excited to welcome Jayahadadream as our keynote speaker in 2025. Jaya won Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition in 2024 and was recently winner of Rising Star and Lyricist of the Year at the Youth Music Awards 2025.

To round off this exciting day, young people watch a short performance. Last year they watched poet and performer, Arji Manuelpillai and watched a screening of Mijita Linda by LCDS MA Screendance student Cat Caruncha.

The next event will be in November 2028.
