Shane Patrick Murray

Shane Patrick Murray (he/him) is a 25-year-old self-taught, multidisciplinary dance artist from New Jersey whose work spans performance, choreography, and creative direction. Grounded in storytelling through movement, he draws from surrealist imagery, identity exploration, and themes of morality and transformation.
Since completing his degree at London Contemporary Dance School in 2025, he has broadened his practice across live performance, choreography, and videography, presenting work at the National Gallery and starring as a punk lead in a dance film by Benjamin Jonsson. He is currently developing short dance films and creature-inspired work, aiming to further refine his artistic voice and create imaginative, impactful collaborations.
Shane is a graduate of the MA Dance: Performance programme at LCDS, where he was a member of Cohort 02. During the programme he worked with project leaders such as Dickson Mbi Company, Alexander Whitley Dance Company, Theo Clinkard, Steve Kirkham, Holly Blakey, Hannes Langolf, Seke Chimutengwende, Benjamin Jonsson, Rakesh Sukesh and Alleyne Dance under the course leadership of Tom English, Tina Afiyan Breiova and Dr Andrew Sanger, working closely with individual mentor Aiden Magarian.
