Jamie graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dance from the University of Wolverhampton in 2019 before completing his MA. After finishing his studies, he moved to Lanzarote, drawn by the island’s slower pace and natural landscapes, securing a contract with the performing arts company MHT.

Guided by an ethos of empathy and care, Jamie’s multidisciplinary practice shapes both his creative and collaborative processes. Influenced by club culture and the exploration of queer identity, his work engages with dance, performance, and visual art as tools for activism, self-realisation, and social reflection.

London-born and Essex-bred from a working-class background, Jamie values inclusivity in dance and plans to return to London’s freelance scene, focusing on site-specific, community, and exhibition-based projects.

Jamie is a graduate of the MA Dance: Performance programme at LCDS, where he was a member of Cohort 02. During the programme he worked with project leaders such as Dickson Mbi Company, Alexander Whitley Dance Company, Theo Clinkard, Steve Kirkham, Holly Blakey, Hannes Langolf, Seke Chimutengwende, Benjamin Jonsson, Rakesh Sukesh and Alleyne Dance under the course leadership of Tom English, Tina Afiyan Breiova and Dr Andrew Sanger, working closely with individual mentor Leah Marojevic.
